Why I Consider Viruses Disembodied Souls

 Every thing living on this planet, from the smallest to the largest plants to the tiniest to largest animals, is operated by hardware based on it's nucleic acids DNA and RNA.  The important idea to realize is that this hardware based on a specific coding allows for the continual replication of the species so that one generation can follow the next.  Until the advent of the electron scanning microscope in the 1930's, viruses could not be visualized.  Now we know viruses also have RNA and/or DNA, but they are the ONLY things on this planet which do not have the capability to self-replicate.  These extremely tiny entities float about without being able to direct their motion until landing on cells not sufficiently protected by the immune system of living animals or the defenses in plants.  They seek to take over the self-replicating capabilities of another living system.  It's as if they are the only entity not given a body of their own.  And that's why I view viruses as disembodied souls, because for millennia the people on this planet could only imagine this viral energy as evil spirits/demon energies which would want to inhabit/take over/possess another body.
