The Dawn of Self-Consciousness and Where it Leads

There was a time of great darkness, when the mind of pre-humans had accepted it's place within the world order, when there was only instinctual action and reaction and advanced thought patterns were not produced which would be capable of seeing and understanding consequences.  From afar this World looked dark, for no light had made it's way into the centers of consciousness in the living.

I was there when it all began.  I experienced a feeling which seemed emitted from a spark, an impulse, creating a thought, a thought I knew I had but which had no words yet;  it was not something given from the outside to me, but one I alone developed, from a welling up from deep inside, and it was an acknowledgement, a recognition, that there was something special and different about existence, and that this life was unique, and that I, as a part of a small band of what would become humanity, was unique, that our lives could be improved upon, and thus the spark once born within my mind bore a question mark, which had arisen in my brain, not by accident but by design, for it was intended to deliver the mind out of darkness.  Thus began the journey which led from one change to another to improve and search for answers to existence, of being alive, for a question always begins a mental journey.  Little did I realize that the first feeling and realization were from an energy within which was stimulating growth of the brain, increasing it's capacity to finally transform itself capable of forming advanced neural networks so thinking, especially of consequences for my self and the broader environment, could be realized.  From the first time, with this first self-consciousness, I saw my self, and how I stood alone, how I stood as a part of our group, and how there was such a greater world to investigate, learn from, and to improve upon.  Gaining this extra capacity and the capability of perspective, everything seemed able to be perceived as a past-present-future continuum, and thus was born humanity, ready to experiment and forge new paths of thought to question the present moment with the idea of creating a better world.  Thus, one thought built upon another which allowed the continual building toward a new and better existence.

The initial question arose not in words, in the beginning, such as, why, how, what, but in the feeling that there was some quality to life besides being in the ever-present survival mode.  This simple questioning, beyond words, became a driving force behind change, development, and improvements in all aspects of living.  Little did the first humans who were with me know that the spark was initiated deep within as a reflection of our electrical core, like when the poles of a battery are touched and a spark emits, which by design keeps us electrically charged, driving each of us forward in time, all occurring as a part of our species development, stimulating the enlargement of our brains, to at some point being able to reflect on and to know oneself within the context of the larger world, with many of those questions embedded as feelings going unanswered until others could also experience the same dawning of self-consciousness, enabling them to assist in answering them and creating a better existence for us all.   This spark was an impulse from deep within, a seeping from a pool of energy which energized the ability to reason on the next level, the first level being of cognition reflecting instinctual reactions unfettered by acknowledging any long term consequences.

In the beginning of this process the spark was not seen, except as an infintesimally small point of light from afar, and it could be discerned only by those with supervision or a supersight which could pierce the facade of skin covering the governing electrical system of us, the first people, which humanity began to become known as, but the spark was felt by those with it and it could be used to further creation.  So very slowly this desire for something else, for enhancing life, spread at first, like a disease within one which eats away because it cannot be controlled, or like an urge never satisfied, and this unease was being fed by discontent with present circumstances, that life could be something more, wanting to know the unknown to discover new potential in this thing seemingly springing from nowhere called life.  Then seeing that others developed the same feeling, partly because I had stimulated their minds to feel the spark within so they began looking at life differently, we saw this feeling could be passed along to next generations.  I saw that some of the next generation was given the same spark, the spark for the possibility of self-realization, and others were not given that spark, so there were those who stayed in the dark, so this beginning of my cluster/small band of this newly arrived species, humanity, who were sometimes born with the inventive spirit first induced and then nourished by an unseen but felt spark, the desire to pursue change and the ability to reason and the desire for an improved existence.  However,  others were slow to grasp that feeling, were reactive and resented those that had the spark of self-recognition in the context of the greater whole.  Whenever it was seen that some had something that the other did not, instead of developing their own broader perspective on life with the willingness to work together, they took by force the object of their desires, often times these were creations, tools or buildings, inaccessible to those who did not have access to that creative impulse reflected by a self-awareness and enhanced functioniong neural networks.

Hundreds of thousands of years have passed and this spark that I had first felt has spread throughout the Earth, traveling with the people gifted with it, from it's beginnings to as far North to where existence could be sustained, and whenever and wherever civilizations began, that spark stayed with the people.  And I see that the question of how, brought improvements, and the question of what, brought further understanding and the question why, brought religion, so that there was a reason to living.  Yet each religion was different, developing from an unique perspective within each developing civilization, trying to grasp from whence that spark first came.  At this time the appearance of the spark from on high became a discernible light, which now reflects the initial spark that has now spread across the surface of the Earth until it has almost covered it's whole.

Soon there will be no shade to hide under to avoid the light shining through everyone's mind.  The people all thought their civilizations were special so they have warred against each other to take what they considered valuable, instead of seeing themselves as part of the same movement, the development of humanity as a brotherhood, as a whole, for they did not see their kindred as part of the same movement, but as competition for resources, never learning to share what one had in excess in one part of this planet with those who had too much of something else in a different place on the planet for the planet as a whole has all the necessary resources for humanity to have it's needs met.  There have been some who learned to trade among themselves and from other places, and this sharing has yet to be incorporated in humanity on every level in order to create improvement so that this planet's human population can all enjoy the improvements provided by that initial spark.

From walking to running, to travel by water, trains, the development of electricity, lighting the world by harnessing the energies originating from it's sun, and by vehicles and by cars, then travel by air, humanity is integrating the whole surface of the planet.  People are now everywhere, the spark continuing to encourage the thinking of people, with electronics and the digital technologies continuing to unify the peoples of the planet, the people a tool to allow achievement, so life can benefit from these advances.  The  view from far above is one of a brightening light coming upon the Earth.  As our home becomes increasingly electrified, the spark which created this human journey is still seeking enhanced expression, an expanded recognition of the holographic whole driven by each individual's fully developed mind, which, in the future, as our planet becomes fully electrified, and each will have a supercharged, supraconscious, supermind capable of fully perceiving and understanding all consequences. This is where we are all headed, if that initial spark has it's way.  Unwittingly to us, our path forward was designed to further the consciousness of the whole cosmos, and progress toward that goal is everlastng.  This is unstoppable to the end, with each of us able to reflect the fully electrified mind by having a fully electrified consciousness, all from a little spark which we were all given and which we all have access to when we are ready.
