The Keepers of the Gate

There's a magnificent city, which took eons to build, which has a single gate through which all of it's fuel must enter.  This fuel stokes the furnaces to keep the electrical grid of the city up and running.  The city is surrounded by a wall which does not allow fuel to be brought into it except through that one gate.  The gate is watched over by gatekeepers whose job it is to closely examine the fuel for molecular coherence and visual imperfections,  after all, the city could only run optimally with the best fuel and the gatekeepers are supposed to assure that.  Besides the fuel to burn as energy, the fuel must also contain components which, when the fuel is burned, are important for maintenance of the infrastructure of the city, such as the tubing, the lighting, and the integrity of the supportive structures.  The city could easily survive the ravages of time unless the keepers of the gate are lulled to sleep or lose their ability to properly vet the fuel, but, unfortunately, they are all too often asleep on the job.
Thus it is, that our bodies and mind need the right fuel to be sustained at the highest level. AWAKEN those keepers of your gate!  The gatekeepers are the eyes, nose, and tongue, but don't forget the tonsils, the guardians of the main thoroughfare. Isn't it amazing that our vision sits above the gate to be watchful to reject any low quality fuel, and our tongues and nose sense on the molecular level any chemical contaminants and how the tonsils initiate a defensive reaction if the fuel has contaminants ; how special our gatekeepers are to enable us to avoid poor quality fuel.  The bioelectrical system of our body, which runs all the other systems, depends upon and can be enhanced by special attention to the fuel.
